My Own Practice Tutorial Video

Evaluation of my own instructional video -

Creating my own instructional video did prove somewhat difficult at times, but I think it turned out okay. Firstly, when it came to filming each shot I had to use a handheld camera, meaning each shot was slightly unsteady due to not having a tripod / something to rest the camera on. This made the overall video not as great as I hoped, but I know that when I do come to create my barbering dry run, and also the final product for the client, I will be using a tripod to make each shot steady, making it look more professional. Cutting between each clip, I decided to use a simple cut, rather than using something that could be distracting or things like graphic effects, as I thought that was most suitable for this genre of video. As well as this, after watching several other barbering videos, the large majority also use simple cuts from one clip to another.

Throughout the video, I tried to include a variety of different camera angles for each shot, so the video didn't feel the same throughout / continuous. I included the liked of wide shots, close up and extreme close ups, etc. Which will also be included when i come to create the final barbering video.

Furthermore, instead of using a voiceover, I decided to use text on screen with some light background music. I thought this was best suited for the video, but when we come to create the video for the client a voiceover will be used, and possibly use of background music to fill the scene.
