 19/04/2021

Today I completed identifying my client and audience after going back and adding more depth. I also continued with my product analysis, as well as learning more on semiotics 

26/04/2021

After completing all of AC1 and my evaluation for both existing videos, I spent the lesson filming footage to go in my practice run video, and will continue to edit it during next lesson. Afterwards I will upload it along with my other practice run video, and evaluate both.

03/05/2021

This week I completed my barbering practice video, which took longer than I hoped due to the software not working for several days. Once complete I have uploaded it to my youtube, and next week will create a survey to get feedback. This week I also began my risk assessment, which I will need to complete.  

10/05/2021

I collected my feedback on my video and wrote up a blogger post explaining my feedback and what I could improve on, as well as beginning my pitch which I plan to complete and upload this week. 

17/05/2021

I completed and uploaded my pitch, and began to complete more of my pre production, such as the location scouting and health and safety. 

24/05/2021

I completed more of my pre production, and aim to finish today. I have since completed my pre production, and today ( may 25th ) we each filmed our barbering video, as well as our behind the scenes. We each began our editing stage, but before this I needed to put both sets of videos in the correct order so that they flow smoothly. 

07/06/2021

We spent this week editing our final video, which hopefully will be complete by the end of this week. By the end of this week I did end up completing my final barbering video, so next week I will spend completing my evaluation and making sure my pre production is in order.

This week I completed my evaluation for my barbering video, as well as making sure my blog is up to date.

I believe this is a good example of a barbering instructional video, since it includes a variety of different techniques and was very informative / easy to follow. Firstly the video includes an introduction as well as an outro, showcasing things like his brand name as well as where to find him on social media. As a business this is good since it lets him promote his work, while letting the audience access it easily.  The video opens up with a wide angle shot of someone cutting someone's hair with people surrounding him, almost like a presentation - this almost foreshadowing how this is a instructional video. As well as this, across the screen is his brand name which includes a moustache icon - instantly representing his barbering business as well as signifying how he cuts men's hair.  When editing, the video opens up with a short introduction / montage of clips, and then uses a fade out to close those clips.
