Barbering Project Diary

  19/04/2021 Today I completed identifying my client and audience after going back and adding more depth. I also continued with my product analysis, as well as learning more on semiotics  26/04/2021 After completing all of AC1 and my evaluation for both existing videos, I spent the lesson filming footage to go in my practice run video, and will continue to edit it during next lesson. Afterwards I will upload it along with my other practice run video, and evaluate both. 03/05/2021 This week I completed my barbering practice video, which took longer than I hoped due to the software not working for several days. Once complete I have uploaded it to my youtube, and next week will create a survey to get feedback. Feedback   After distributing a google form to receive feedback and asking questions like what the audience thought and what I could improve on, I have since received answers which will help me when I come to create the final video. When asking the audience what they thought of the video, I was told that it is short and informative, as well as well edited together and the aim of the video is clear. Asking what I could improve on, I have learnt that when I come to create my final video to be assessed, ways I could make it more appealing are to: Use more visual effects Add an outro Provide text on screen to explain what is happening in each step, making the video easier to follow, and also making it appeal to a larger audience Adding a cutaway Following this, I also asked which parts the audience liked most, to perhaps bring into my final piece: The shot types used The volume of the music and voiceover ( how the volume lowered when he spoke ) The overview at the end, to show what the...
