Filming Process
Following our new campaign to create step by step barbering videos for Sunderland College, we spent the lesson practising these shots to try and get a glimpse to what we will be creating. We filmed a small variation of shots that may appear in our videos for the college, in particular close ups since we will have to see what the barber is doing.
In this shot, we got a close up of the barbers hands cutting the hair of the client. Using the manual focus on the camera, we were able to focus in on the equipment being used and get a clear shot of what was taking place.
Next, after changing the lens we got a close up shot of the equipment once again. I think this is an important attribute to the barbering video since it shows the audience what is needed to carry out the video.
Lastly, we got a close up shot of the barbers face, then moving the camera down to the barbers hands presenting what he is doing. It's important to always show what the barber is doing in the moment since it lets the audience follow along in real time.
